Maintain the 60-hour Work Week!
The future of New York State’s agriculture hangs in the balance. Last year, farmers and farmworkers compromised on a 60-hour overtime threshold to maintain employee needs, especially when working with farm animals and perishable crops. With a final decision pending this year, we cannot sustain any reduction to the work week. Farmers and farmworkers are united. Let’s keep it the way it is. We have adapted and adjusted to this new normal, but further disruption will negatively impact farmers and farmworkers and could change the face of NY agriculture forever. Help us maintain the current overtime threshold and save New York’s food supply, farmworker jobs and our rural economy!
